A Gentle Approach To Trigger Point Work
Hands On Workshops
It is my intent to present another perspective in treating muscular pain with classes small enough for individualized attention, not only from me but from my incredible team of assistants. In these courses, you will learn how to locate and release neuromuscular trigger points specific to the muscles of each section, providing a pathway to longer lasting relief for your clients.
Each course starts with an hour lecture, followed by guided training and practice.
Participants should bring a massage table, linens, and lubricants. This work does not require a lot of lubricant, and some parts of it none at all.
While this work can be done with clothed clients, it is preferable to learn on skin. Please bring a robe and I will make every effort to protect your privacy while you get on the table. If you are more comfortable with clothed work, please wear some type of workout clothing.

TMJ Dysfunction
The course focuses on the muscles of the temporomandibular joint and surrounding myofascia that interfere with the function of the TMJ. This work includes both external Neuromuscular Release Therapy and internal. This method has lead to success in the treatment of TMJD for my clients and the clients of those who have taken this class. Gloves are provided.

Head and Neck

Not only will we be working with the common muscular sources of head and neck pain, we will address the anterior neck muscles, including the prevertebral muscles.

Upper Torso
There are musculoskeletal disorders from “a catch in the side” and strains to movement disorders such as cerebral palsy that can activate neuromuscular trigger points in the upper body. Not only does this course focus on the muscles in the upper body, but includes all erector spinae, rectus abdominis, and scalene work due to the referral pain in the upper torso from their trigger points.
